Writing in Community

Online communities for writers abound. Dozens of dot-coms and dot-orgs exist for the purpose of bringing together beginners, published writers, agents and editors to compare notes, get and give constructive criticism and reach out to one another for that fateful connection that could launch a lucrative career. There is certainly nothing wrong with being a member of one or even several of these sites. The only challenge is that because so many others are, it’s difficult to distinguish yourself.
