Wyclef: Popularity and Influence

Nel Ust Wyclef Jean, born in Haiti in 1969, is perhaps the most famous Haitian refugee in the United States. The Refugee Camp (The Fugees) was one of the hottest bands in the US and the world in the late 1990s and his involvement established him as a major player in the music industry.
